Regional Development
This regional program focuses on the development of coordinated service networks in regional South Australia for refugee and migrant settlement groups, and strategies for furthering their acceptance and participation in these communities. Whyalla Multicultural Communities CentreThe Murraylands Migrant Resource Centre in Murray Bridge and Limestone Coast Migrant Resource Centre in Mount Gambier which provide case work, information and a range of other services to newer settlement groups.
The Living in Harmony project to be conducted in 2008 by the MRCSA focusing on the promotion of social cohesion and cross cultural understanding in the Murraylands region through engagement between settlement groups and the broader community.
Organising triennial regional multicultural conferences in association with the Regional Multicultural Council (RMCC), the most recent of which was the Shaping The Future Conference in Mount Gambier in September 2007.
MRCSA convenorship and/or participation in key regional multicultural networks, settlement coordinating committees, and service planning committees including the provision of training and advice to regional service providers.
