The MRCSA is funded through the Settlement Grants Program (SGP) of the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) to deliver a range of settlement services to people from migrant and refugee backgrounds during their first five years of settlement. Services are provided from MRCSA metropolitan and regional offices and include:

Front Counter Services
Youth Specific services and support
Women Specific services and support
Mens talk
Case Work and case coordination and referral to other Specialist MRCSA Programs and External Services
Complex Case Work in partnership with other services for people at risk
Free Migration Services
Multilingual Resource Materials
Group Information Sessions supporting client integration to Australian systems

Developing Communities
Assistance to new and emerging communities to develop their independence and self-reliance
Targeted mentoring and support programs for women, young people and men focusing skills and leadership development
Engagement and linkages to services, community supports and employment that further empowerment and participation

Advocacy and Mediation
Access to employment and training pathways including entrepreneurial enterprise, volunteer training and development, engagement with community service clubs and supports, and linkages with mainstream social, cultural and recreational activities.
